Practice motto since 1999
Walch In Practice is a Melbourne-based chartered accounting practice, established in 1999. Most of our work is with owner-managed businesses, and we look after both sides of the picture: the business itself, and the family tax matters behind it. Our clients range from sole traders and health practices through to engineering firms, manufacturers, lawyers, and stockbrokers.
After many years based in Melbourne's CBD, the practice moved to Suite 1, 307 Bay Street, Brighton VIC 3186 on 1 July 2026.
As a small team, we place a strong emphasis on service, communication, and long-standing client relationships. We take the time to understand you and your business, and we aim to provide practical advice you can act on with confidence.
Two generations
Walch In Practice has advised Melbourne businesses and families since 1999. Greg and George lead the practice, pairing steady, senior judgement with a cloud-first way of working. Behind them is a team of accountants who know your business and keep the work moving, so you are never waiting on one person to come free.

No. We handle the handover with your previous accountant, request your records, and manage the transition for you. Most of the work sits with us, not with you, and we keep it straightforward.
Xero is our preferred platform and we are part of Xero's partner program, so we set up, migrate, and run Xero, and handle payroll and day-to-day bookkeeping. We also bring close to 30 years of experience with MYOB. If you are on MYOB we are glad to keep supporting you there, or to help you move across to Xero when the time is right.
Yes. We work with companies, small businesses, trusts, self-managed superannuation funds, and private clients, from annual compliance through to structuring and advisory work.
We are in Brighton at Suite 1, 307 Bay Street, and we work with clients across Bayside and greater Melbourne. You are welcome to meet us in person, or we can work with you remotely through Xero and secure file sharing.
